Privacy Notice

1. Who we are and what this covers

This notice is from Payolla LLC, doing business as Speedy Money Transfer ("Speedy", "we"), 255 Davis Street, Miramar Beach, FL 32459. It covers information about customers and visitors to our website, app and WhatsApp channel. People who receive money through Speedy but are not customers should read our Recipient Privacy Notice. Our GLBA Privacy Notice is the federal financial privacy notice that also applies to you.

Our licensed money transmission Partner, Partner legal name, also processes your information to provide transfers and meet its legal obligations, under its own privacy notice at Partner privacy URL.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, date of birth, address, email, mobile number, Social Security or taxpayer number where required, occupation, and the purpose of transfers when we ask.

Identity verification information: images of your government ID, a selfie and liveness check, and the results of checks against public and commercial databases. Facial geometry may be used by our verification provider only to compare your selfie with your ID, and is not kept by Speedy after the check.

Transfer information: amounts, dates, funding account or card (we store only the last four digits and the issuer), recipients, delivery method, payout details, and status.

Recipient information you give us: your recipient's name, country, phone number and payout details.

Device and usage information: device type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, app version, and how you use the Services. We use this for security and fraud prevention.

Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, chat or WhatsApp, and records of support cases.

Information from others: our Partner, identity verification and fraud-prevention providers, banks and card networks, public sanctions lists, and people who invite you to Speedy.

4. How we use information

  • to open and run your account and send your transfers;
  • to verify your identity and comply with anti-money-laundering, sanctions, tax and other laws;
  • to detect and prevent fraud, scams and unauthorized access;
  • to give you disclosures, receipts, notices and support;
  • to investigate errors and complaints and meet our obligations under federal remittance rules;
  • to improve and secure the Services; and
  • to send marketing, only where you have agreed.

5. AI and automated processing

Voice notes, photos and messages you send us. If you send us a voice note, a photo (for example a bill or a note) or a message to check for scams, we use trusted service providers to transcribe or read it so we can help you. We currently use OpenAI to turn voice notes into text and Anthropic to read photos and messages.

Speedy does not store the audio, the photo or the message after we reply. Our providers may keep it for a limited time, usually up to 30 days, to keep their services secure and prevent misuse, and longer if the law requires. Our contracts with them require them to protect it and not to use it to train their models.

Please never send a photo of your ID, bank card or bank details in chat. If you do, we will not use it and you should not resend it, but it will already have reached our provider.

The AI assistant. Our assistant is an AI and tells you so. To keep its answers in context, it keeps the last six messages of a conversation for 30 minutes, after which they expire. Messages about a problem with a transfer, a cancellation, fraud, a complaint or a locked account are not sent to the AI; they open a case for a person, and the message is kept with that case as part of our records (see section 8).

Automated decisions. We use automated tools to verify identity and to score transfers for fraud and sanctions risk. If an automated check stops you from opening an account or sending money, a person can review the decision if you ask.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to provide the Services or as the law requires:

  • Partner legal name, which provides the money transmission;
  • payout partners in the destination country (banks, wallets such as Lynk, cash pickup networks), who receive what they need to pay your recipient;
  • service providers who work for us under contract, including identity verification, fraud prevention, payment processing, cloud hosting, customer support, messaging (including Meta for WhatsApp) and AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic);
  • government authorities and regulators where the law requires, including reports we must make under anti-money-laundering laws, and in response to valid legal process (see our Law Enforcement Requests page);
  • your recipient, who will see your name and the amount sent;
  • a buyer or successor if Speedy is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this notice.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
